THE OPPORTUNITY
The M&E Officer will support the MERL Specialist and Project Coordinator in ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the objectives, beneficiaries’ criteria, budget and deadlines. As the M&E Officer, you will ensure the effective implementation of the project in line with Plan International’s monitoring and evaluation framework, the updating of the project’s monitoring and evaluation plan and its effective & efficient implementation.
You will also monitor and update the Project Implementation Plan, identifying data sources to capture performance and impact indicators in collaboration with the project team. It will also be your responsibility to participate in the development and regular updating of the project database, as well as the mapping of project areas and support the project team and its partners in the identification of critical events that can enable the formulation of lesson learned, and the taking into account of decisions favouring the success of the project.
ABOUT YOU
The M&E Officer should have a degree in Social Sciences, Statistics or an equivalent, along with experience in a development organisation.
You must be familiar with the context of Central African refugees, and have a good command of IT tools. Your atleast one (1) year experience in research and evaluation, participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation, and the development of community development projects will be an added advantage in you accomplishing the obligations of this role.
